Our Environment

We have a great rural setting for our school with plenty of room for outdoor and indoor activities.  The extensive grounds of 2.12 hectares include a rugby field, small hockey / soccer field, artificial cricket wicket, two netball / basketball courts, adventure playground and an 18 metre swimming pool facility.

The large country garden area has been developed by the students incorporating vegetable patches, fruit trees and a chicken coop they built themselves. A native garden pathway was designed and planted by the students as part of a “Bush” unit study with DOC.

Our play pit caters for the creative play that children enjoy participating in. There are a lot of fence battens and some other construction materials for children to build with. Cooperative and social skills are developed as games are invented around the houses, castles, towers, boats or vehicles they have made.
